How quickly they learn

This past week Harper has been amazing us with the things she's learned that we didn't even know we were teaching her. This incidental learning is a big reminder that we need to watch what we do and say because now we have our own little mime.

1. She has learned how to play corn hole.

She knows that the goal is to get the bean bags in the hole. You can see her bending over trying to get hers in.

2. She has learned that pockets hold things.

See the cute little pockets on her dress. At dinner she kept putting pieces of food in there. We saw her picking up food and then putting her hands down in her lap, but when Joe peered in, there it all was in her pocket....like she was saving it for later.

3. She has made up her own sign for kitty.

This one is a little harder to explain. When we want the cats to come play we rub our fingers together and make a clicking noise with our tongues. We noticed that every time Harper sees one of the cats she starts rubbing her fingers together just like we did. I guess that's our sign to mean kitty now. Check out her right hand in the video to see the sign.

At least she is storing food in her pockets and not in her cheeks like you and Brittany did. Mom
