I have had some interesting incidents this week. It started yesterday afternoon. Some of the track kids were out on a long run down a main street in Gahanna. They were crossing a street, and a lady at the intersection was making a right on red. I guess she didn't see them, though how you don't see a group of 10 kids is beyond me, so she started driving and hit 5 of the kids with her car. If that wasn't bad enough....she drove away! She didn't check on the kids or anything....just drove away. What kind of person does that?
So today we have a track meet and we've told the New Albany team that is coming that they need to limit their entries certain events. They brought three buses of kids for goodness sake. Well they show up and the girls coach has decided she doesn't want to limit the kids, so throws a huge tantrum about letting all of her kids run in any event. We end up having to run 5 heats of several races, which causes the track meet to last way longer than it needs too. The 100 meter dash is exciting, but not when you have to watch it 5 times in a row with the runners in each group getting progressively slower. What kind of grown woman throws a temper tantrum?
If I only had the words to measure how much these two idiots have set back the women's movement.
**Note: I guess the ladies conscience kicked in and she turned herself into the police.
