1/2 a year

I'm half way through my year of quarterly resolutions You can see my posts about them here and here.

Goal 1: House cleaning...

Revised Goal: One major deep clean to prepare for showings and then a daily schedule of what to keep up with each day.

Goal Accomplished!

Goal 2: Purging...

New goal: Have a garage/moving sale to get all the for sale stuff out.  List the more desirable things on craigslist to get a little more out of them.  Haul all the donation stuff to good will.

Goal Accomplished.  I made $80 on my yard sale. Woohoo!

Goal 3: Home repairs...

Goal Accomplished.

Goal 4: Train for another half marathon...

Still running a few days a week.  No races on the schedule.

Goal 5: Make plans to keep Harper entertained and educated throughout the summer.  I like to keep her home with me a lot, but with her moving to the preschool room soon, I don't want her to lost momentum with the curriculum they have.  But I also want to just have fun.  So the goal will be balance.  The teacher in me has a hard time not trying to make a lesson out of everything and just letting her learn while she plays.

Doing well in our first week.  We've done some structured learning activites, and we have just been learning while playing.  I love summer!

Goal 6: Find a new home.  Assuming our home sells as quickly as we predict, we're looking at having to rent for awhile.  We don't want to rush our purchase because this is where we will be living for the next 20-30 years.  We want to make sure it's exactly what we want, where we want it.  So I might not even be able to accomplish this goal by the end of June, but I want to make sure I'm putting forth a good effort.

This is my only unresolved goal.  An honestly, it will probably be my only goal for the next three months.  We NEED a place to live.  So that's where my energy will be focused.  I will also be loggin some hours for a summer course that I am taking.  So those two things along with hanging with Harper will keep me booked this summer.
