I'm sure many people have experienced this before....
You are talking to a young adult, say between the ages of 12 and 18. You say something to them that they don't like, so they make this "tsk" noise, sucking their tongue. I've decided that this is my new big pet peeve. In my mind, the words behind that noise are F*** You!
Example:
Me: "You were messing around and spilled the Gatorade, so YOU need to help clean it up."
Student: " Tsk"
translation - F*** you, I'm not going to clean that up.
If I could only find the words to respond to that noise without getting fired...
