Today is one of the perks I get as a teacher. It was the last day of work before Spring Break. I know, I know...many of you wish you had this perk as well, but one thing about my job I'm sure you're glad you don't have to experience is our annual "Talent" show. This consists of 2 hours of awkward singers, a couple of dance acts, a pretty darn good 7th grade drummer, and male staff members wearing prom dresses. I don't know how the kids sit through this display of "talent" on the day before spring break, without going ballistic, but most of them do a great job. I have to admit it's pretty hard to scold students for groaning at the bad singers when it's hard not to do it myself.
If I could only find the words to express how much I love Spring Break...
