This and That

• I completed my first half marathon.  I ran the whole thing, which was my goal.  Finished in 2:18. I think I definitely could have done better, but for my first race I just wanted to make sure I finished.  Now I know what to shoot for next time.
• My co-worker and I have planned a Zombie Apocalypse for our math classes.  We got super nerdy creating all the math for the project.  It's things like this that make me love being a teacher. We had the kids really freaked out for about 3 minutes before they realized it was just a fake.
• Halloween has been a blast.  Harper is mildly obsessed with all things pirate, so that was what she wanted to be.  We hit up the Good Will and wrangled together costumes for the whole family.  I love that place!

• Speaking of Harper's obsession with Pirates, Joe broke out his Lego pirate ship and a castle from when he was a kid so now the two of them play pirate Lego's for about an hour a day.  It's a great thing to watch the two of them playing together.
